Tent & Table is an artist-run grassroots initiative that gives local creative entrepreneurs a small financial lift to help showcase their work at markets, events, or online.

The Mission

Help creative entrepreneurs overcome barriers, grow their businesses and connect with their communities.

Who should apply?

You, probably!

Makers, artists, craftspeople, musicians, and creative entrepreneurs based in Texas who are growing their creative ventures or side hustles. Whether you’re a vintage curator,  jewelry maker,  furniture refinisher, painter,  musician, or  craftsperson — if you have a creative venture you're passionate about but need support for things like market vendor fees, display materials, or equipment, you should apply for a chance to receive funding through our quarterly lottery-style drawing!

Funding for what?

Market & Vendor Fees

To cover the costs of booth or table rental at markets, festivals, or pop-up shops.

Creative Equipment & Supplies

For purchasing tools, materials, or equipment necessary to create or display your work.

Marketing & Branding

To support your efforts in promoting your work, including advertising, logo design, and other marketing materials.

The Boring Stuff

For essential but often overlooked operational costs like packaging materials, shipping supplies, and administrative tools.

How it started...

I started selling vintage décor and art because I needed extra income, and it turned into something I hadn't realized how much I needed in the throes of raising two under two—a creative outlet.

As I built my side hustle, I quickly saw how many financial barriers exist for others trying to do the same. Vendor fees, tents, tables, and displays all add up, and there aren’t many resources for creative entrepreneurs who are somewhere between hobbyists and full-time business owners. While there are grants for small businesses and funding for traditional artists, the makers, crafters, and side hustlers often get left out.

That’s why I started Tent & Table—to give creative entrepreneurs a small financial boost. A little help can make the difference between setting up at a market or sitting it out, and I want to help others support themselves creatively.

My bigger goal is to provide affordable venues and opportunities for artists, craftspeople, makers, musicians, vintage dealers, and all types of creative entrepreneurs to showcase and sell their work, without the burden of high costs or corporate control. Right now, these small $100 lotteries will have to do and I'm grateful to be in a position to help.
